HOW MANY ANIMALS PROTECTED AREAS EXIST IN MEXICO

Mexico possesses areas that concentrate and enhance the biodiversity of its landscapes, where one can get together once again with nature and its complex ecosystems.

They are the natural protected areas that throughout the country portray the pure essence of the natural beauty it possesses man's shelter.

Mexico is one of the five most biologically diverse countries on earth on 1/10 of all land species   
( many of which live nowhere else). 

In Mexico there are several types of protected areas, federal, state, municipal and etc.

Protected natural areas: are areas under the administration of the national commission of protected natural areas, ( CONANP ).

Among the best known are the lions' national desert park  and the monarch butterfly's biosphere reserve.

According to the Mexican agency ( CONANP ). The protected natural areas are areas where the original environments have not been significantly altered by human activity.

Today in Mexico there are 176 protected natural areas and administrations by the CONANP, that guard 25 million 394 thousand 779 hectares that in turn represent 12.93% of the surface of the country.
